Mohan Marg is a meadow ground that lies ensconced in the mountains about 20km along the road to Ladakh in North. The Mohanmarg meadow lies at the top of the Sind Valley in the Gandarbal district. A panoramic view of the Kashmir valley including Pir panjal, Srinagar City and Dal and Wallur Lake can be viewed from this place. The Mohanmarg Day Trek will give a glimpse of the beautiful valleys of Srinagar and a golden chance to explore the meadows of Mohanmarg. The travellers can enjoy the panoramic view of the Pir Panjal, Dal Lake and the complete sight of the Srinagar city from the height. This day trek will be a break from the stressful city life amidst the beauty of nature.
From Srinagar, there’s a travel of one and a half hour drive by car to Anderwan Village which will pass through Gandarbal district. Halt for a while at the Sind River bank at Wayil to gaze at the beauty of the place before arriving at Anderwan village. After reaching the Anderwan, the 3 hours trek will start to reach Mohanmarg Meadow at the Sind Valley top. While trekking to the meadow beautifully lined pine trees can be glanced. The aerial view of the base from the height of the meadow is indeed a beautiful sight. After having lunch amidst the meadows, the sightseeing of the valley can be enjoyed. As the meadow excavation ends, we will trek down the Mohanmarg meadow to drive back to Srinagar.
